My name is Nokshuwan Sekyen Sati. Most people call me Sekyen. I am 18 years old, from Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, and currently a first-year cybersecurity student at MIVA Open University.

"I built SwiftMarketplace because I grew up watching people around me get scammed buying and selling online. The trust problem in Nigerian commerce is not abstract to me — it is personal."

I wanted to build something that made it impossible to lose money to a stranger in an online transaction. SwiftMarketplace is the result.

I am not a software engineer by training. I am a cybersecurity student who taught himself to build because the product I wanted to create did not exist. I built every part of SwiftMarketplace — the marketplace, the escrow system, the AI tools, the security infrastructure — entirely on my own, while studying full time.

Before launching publicly, I had the platform professionally security-audited. The result was zero critical vulnerabilities. That matters to me because I built SwiftMarketplace to be trustworthy from the inside out — not just in what it promises users, but in how it actually works under the hood.

Nigeria's first escrow-powered marketplace.

SwiftMarketplace is a peer-to-peer marketplace built around SM SafePay — an escrow system that holds buyer funds until delivery is confirmed. The buyer never sends money directly to the seller. Funds are held by SwiftMarketplace and released only when the buyer is satisfied. No more sending money to strangers and hoping for the best.

Beyond escrow, SwiftMarketplace includes SM Price Engine — a proprietary AI tool that suggests optimal prices when sellers create listings — and SM Assistant, a full AI business suite that gives every seller access to product description writing, customer communication tools, and business insights.

SwiftMarketplace is live at swiftmarketplace.net and incorporated in Nigeria as Swift Market Place Ltd, a Private Company Limited by Shares registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
